Loreto Kirribilli welcomes new Principal

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Dr Nicole Archard, the new Principal of Loreto Kirribilli. Dr Archard is a passionate advocate for girls' education and brings a wealth of experience as an educator and school leader.

Dr Archard comes to us from Loreto College Marryatville in Adelaide, where she held the role of Principal for seven and a half years. She has more than twenty years’ experience in education, mostly at Catholic schools. In addition to her role at Loreto College Marryatville, she has held leadership positions at Wenona School, Kincoppal Rose Bay, and Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta.

Currently Joint Chair of the Loreto Principals’ Forum, she is a Catholic woman of faith who strongly believes in women’s capacity and responsibility to contribute significantly to society. Her academic credentials include master’s degrees in Theological Studies, Educational Leadership and Arts as well as a PhD in Girls’ Education and Women and Leadership.

Dr Archard is a passionate believer in girls’ education.

As a specialist educator of girls, I strongly believe, as did Mary Ward, that girls and women are to be celebrated and that they have much to offer society.

I believe that a girls’ school environment, enriched by Catholic values and faith, will prepare our students to be strong and confident women of the future. It is through the values of a Loreto education that our girls become ‘wise, loving, well-educated women’, who are socially just, ethically minded, and the women leaders our society deserves and requires.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome our new Principal to our School community, and we look forward to Dr Archard sharing the journey of our students as they grow into strong and confident women of the future.
